Daniel G. Gunn
ABOUT
Daniel joined Gunn & York in August 2025 and practices in the areas of estate planning, successions, tax law, and corporate law. Daniel’s background in accounting and taxation allows him to approach estate and business planning with a strong understanding of the underlying tax and financial considerations.
Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2025, graduating summa cum laude. While in law school, he received a Graduate Certificate in Estate Planning and Taxation, was awarded the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Daniel served as a Senior Associate on Louisiana Law Review (Volume 85) and was both a Paul M. Hebert Scholar and a Dean’s Scholar throughout his time at the Law Center.
Before law school, Daniel attended Louisiana State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy. Daniel subsequently passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam, and expects to receive his CPA license from the State of Louisiana soon. His training in accounting provides a solid foundation for his work with complex estate, tax, and business issues.
Daniel was born and raised in Baton Rouge and continues to make his home here. He is proud to serve individuals, families, and business owners across Louisiana and the United States.
