ABOUT
Tami has been a partner with Gunn & York for 24 years. Her practice focuses primarily on complex civil and criminal tax dispute resolution and representation before the IRS, Louisiana Department of Revenue, and Local Taxing Authorities. Tami’s practice also includes estate planning, where she has gained extensive experience in the drafting of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents. She frequently handles Successions, as well as litigation related to Successions. Tami is experienced in business law including: the formation of a business (corporations, LLCs, and non-profit/tax-exempt entities), the negotiation and drafting of business contracts (such as buy-sell and redemption agreements), sales/use tax controversies and litigation, and the (recently concluded) IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program.
Tami earned her J.D. degree from LSU Law Center in 1997, where she served as Moot Court Chairman. Tami has presented numerous Seminars on topics including Federal and State (Louisiana) Offers in Compromise and Installment Agreements, State and Local Sales and Use Tax, Estate Planning & Administration/Tax Planning, and the Reporting of Real Estate Transactions to the IRS. Tami lives in Baton Rouge with her husband, Will, and her two children, Savannah and Will.
